Sage & Co help client sell historic North Wales Hotel
Sage & Company Chartered Accountants, based in St. Asaph Business Park, announced they’ve helped long term clients, Peter & Bobbi Lavin successfully sell this important Grade I listed hotel in Conwy – a flagship for all that’s best in the North Wales tourism & hospitality sector. Both Chris Morgans & Sarah Williams of Sage & Company were instrumental in the negotiations with new owners, The Coaching Inn Group.
Over many years, Sage & Company have built up a strong relationship with the Lavin Family and provided bookkeeping, monthly management accounts and strategic business advice. Sage believe in strength in numbers – not only in what they do, but the way their close-knit team delivers a different approach for their clients. It’s not just about figures – it’s about relationships and taking the time to understand what the finances mean to them.
Chris Morgans, Partner, added “we advised on financial and commercial aspects of the sale including supporting the legal process which was headed by Simon Herbert of Bevan Rose, Corporate Solicitors. We personally supported the due diligence process, liaised with the The Coaching Inn Group, and provided detailed tax planning and support. “
Chris & Sarah were fortunate enough to share a glass of champagne on completion with the Lavin family! The hotel will continue to be run by manager, Joe Lavin and his existing 60-strong team.
Sage & Company has a loyal tally of small and medium sized local businesses on their books. Always acting in their best interests, with an honest and open approach, they do not make their services too taxing. It starts with getting to know what opportunities the finances present to each and every client – whether it’s a chance to retire early, put children through school or luxury holidays (or sell a prestigious historic hotel!). Only by doing this, can they help their clients to achieve their goals.
